“Strengthening the capacity of civil society in Tajikistan to address sexual harassment” Deadline May 2021 – February 2022, funded by UN Women under the Ray of Light Initiative Regional Program for Central Asia and Afghanistan </ p>
Purpose. To assist in the implementation of the recommendations of the UN international bodies on the issue of sexual harassment by protecting victims and documenting the facts of violation of women’s human rights, increasing the capacity of civil society and lawyers on sexual harassment.
Tasks:
- At least 2 court cases to protect women from sexual harassment, including in the workplace;
- Policy Brief for the Alternative Report to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women on combating sexual harassment and for submission to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan with recommendations on changing legislation and law enforcement practice;
- Prepare training material on understanding sexual harassment as gender discrimination and violence against women and girls, choosing a protection strategy and documenting human rights violations against women in this aspect.
