Since 1 September 2022, the public organization “World of Law” has begun implementing the project “Promotion and Protection of Labour Rights of Vulnerable Groups.” This activity is supported financially by the Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation in Tajikistan.
The aim of the project is to provide legal support and to introduce and develop mechanisms for protecting workers’ rights in both formal and informal employment sectors.
This initiative is linked to one of the organization’s key areas of work—providing free legal assistance to the population on labour law issues.
Within the framework of the project, the following activities are planned:
- Conducting desk research on labour law disputes, particularly cases involving persecution or pressure from state officials;
- Holding information sessions for trade union representatives, workers’ representatives, and the Labour Law Compliance Commission under the Ministry of Labour to study the implementation of international labour standards;
- Publishing media materials explaining workers’ rights and obligations;
- Providing legal assistance and court representation;
- Conducting a seminar for young lawyers on international and national standards of labour rights protection.

The project implementation period is from 1 September to 31 December 2022.
